The IFAD team recently visited Rwanda. The visit consisted of meetings with service providers, private millers and maize warehouses. They also met with participants of the IFAD supported projects. The delegation also had a meeting with the Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Claver Gatete. They discussed the project and its progress. They thanked the Government of Rwanda for their support.
The team also met with the Permanent Secretary of the Rwanda Ministry of Agriculture, Innocent Musabyimana. They discussed the PASP project, which is the only one in the portfolio that has not picked up much speed since March 2014. Innocent challenged the team to make sure it accelerates the implementation of the PASP project.
