What is GameOn? What is the best way to stream Gaming?
Ever wanted to stream video games online, but didn’t know where to start? Tired of paying $100+ a month for gaming services that offer less than what you want or need? Then this article is for you. Read on to learn how to stream video games online like a pro.
What is GameOn?
GameOn is a video game competition platform that is the first of its kind. GameOn allows game developers to create competitions for players of their games and to track their progress in real-time.
GameOn also allows players to compete for prizes and to be ranked against other players of the same skill level.
Most streaming platforms like Twitch and YouTube have some level of latency. Most online streaming is using a video streaming protocol, meaning that you send data to the server (represented by the green blobs in the image) over a network faster than a typical USB data cable can send the same amount of data — this level of latency is inevitably present for all kind of streaming protocols.
For a person to stream a video game live, they will likely need a powerful computer to compete. The dedicated servers’ prices game developers quite a bit, ranging from $20 to $40 per month depending on the office.
For gamers wanting a platform with lower latency, GameOn may be a better option for streaming purposes since it utilizes a dedicated network rather than a gaming network (like Riot or Quakenet).
Allowing the use of GameOn grants the users access to an extensive library of games to play, games like Asphalt, Boktai, Godfall, Fable, Gears of War, Halo: Master Chief Collection, Half-Life, Death Horizon, MechWarrior Online, Practical Jumpsuit Simulator, Wipeout HD, and World of Warcraft. Just with this list, there are over 800 games that can be streamed on GameOn.
If that isn’t enough, the platform also has a directory of over 400 more games available. And if that isn’t enough to keep users busy for hours on end, there is more.
like Vsync, ShadowPlay, and G2A integration. And the best part? A free one-month trial is all that is required once registered. The biggest advantage of using Gameon is that there aren’t many servers around to talk to and no lag.
Furthermore, the platform has an open invite policy and anyone, regardless of their skill level or involvement in the game, can join.
How do I start streaming games on Justin TV?
Justin TV GameOn is a popular broadcasting website for video games. To stream your game on Justin TV, the first thing you’re going to need to do is sign up for an account.
Once you’ve created an account, you’re going to need to download the broadcasting software.
I recommend using Stream labs, but it’s free for up to five streams. Then, open your Streamlabs account.
Now that you have your Streamlabs account set up and connected to your computer, you’re ready to start streaming.
To stream on Justin TV, you must be using SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol). If you’re on Mac, you can do this with Apple’s very easy and intuitive File application.
Next, you’re going to click on your username and password at the top of the window and follow the instructions.
Just remember to check off Encrypt password as well. Once you tell the time for your stream to start, you’ll be taken to your stream. Now you can start streaming games and whatever else you want.
Justin TV is best for game streaming because it doesn’t include any errors as other tv have. For example, Twitch TV may give you twitch error 2000 which makes your streaming stuck but Justin will never give you your error.
What should I use to stream my game?
Use OBS or XSplit to stream your game. OBS is free and XSplit is $US30/month. The $US30/month should be worth it because it allows you to do cool things like put up a webcam of yourself and have your followers talk to you.
I still remember having a Twitch streaming session back in 2016 when gaming was a huge thing.
My favorite people at the time were the team behind “Fortnite” and I got to chat with them and play games with them.
Video games are a very interactive and social thing and Twitch is a place to have those conversations with people who love video games the most.
The best part is you don’t even need a microphone as Twitch supports most input methods (including voice chat) right out of the box.
If you have a Twitch account, you don’t even need a computer to open Twitch for streaming purposes. There’s a ton of websites out there ready to rent out big streamers for a monthly fee or pre-order you a streaming machine and keep your stream going indefinitely.
I started by playing games on YouTube and second base it off when Twitch came out. After I made a bit of money with my YouTube thumbnails, I am now streaming regularly on Twitch and competing against people in the same genre as me.
A fully fleshed-out gamer is more than a single streamer. You need a website and it’s usually Twitch’s turn to host it. There are also services like Mixer that can help streamers grow their following and monetize better.
If you are looking to do more than just play video games online, you need a YouTube channel and/or Instagram. That’s because once platforms like OBS or XSplit allow streaming through their desktop app, they open a whole new market to creators. A new website is all you need to pull off.
Where can I find people to watch me play?
You can start small by sharing your gameplay on social media. Share your gameplays with your friends on Facebook or Twitter.
If you have a really big social media following, you can share your gameplays on your social media channel and comment under the video to let your followers know that you’re living.
Sitting in my room right now, my PS4 controller is connected to the internet. I’m currently playing Destiny 2 with various friends.
